Terms & conditions for work carried out by request of customers
- 1. (a) Hughes Plumbing and Heating works on a Payment in full on completion basis.
(b) Payment: Cash and Bank Cheque payments are accepted also. Details of how to make a payment via Bank transfer are posted on the bottom left information box on invoices.
(c) All rates and fees are correct as of 01/04/2025 and can be viewed on the Rates Page. - 2. (a) All invoice will be sent via email and needs to by paid in full within 7 days of date issued - payment by Bank cheque or Bank transfer.
(b) After 7 days a reminder email will be sent out and a late payment fee of £50 will be charged which will be added to the orginal invoiced amount unless an arrangement is in place beforehand.
(c) After a further 14 days (21 days from date of invoice) the outstanding amount will be handed over for debt collection.
(d) The client will be liable for an additional charge of £75 incurred towards the debt collection of unpaid invoices. Additional time spent by Hughes Plumbing and Heating, and any additional professional legal services or court fees, will be charged. - 3. (a) All materials supplied remain the property of Hughes Plumbing and Heating until paid for in full.
(b) Hughes Plumbing and Heating reserve the right to remove an materials supplied if payment is not made in full and on time. - 4. (a) All parts / materials supplied by Hughes Plumbing and Heating are genuine parts and may come with a manufacturer's warranty.
(b) Manufacturer's warranties do not cover labour costs.
(c) If any parts fail due to a manufacturer's defect and need replaced under there warranty, additional labour required for replacing the parts will chargeable to the client at the standard hourly rate of £50 per hour or part thereof. - 5. (a) Under no circumstances will Hughes plumbing and Heating supply invoices for any materials supplied.
(b) All parts supplied by Hughes Plumbing and Heating are subject to a 10% handling fee. Any time required in sourcing parts/materials needed to carry out works is Chargeable at the standard hourly rate of £50 per hour. - 6. (a) Hughes Plumbing and Heating take no responsibility for any parts supplied by customer's and may refuse to fit the parts if there are any questionable issues regarding health and safety regulations.
(b) Labour will be charged at the usual hourly rate as per above.
